Is it possible to get beachy waves with a regular perm?

I want beach waves, and I thought the easiest way to get it is to get a perm. Can I do that? My friend got a perm, and she had ringlets. I want like waves though. I know you can get it with Japanese digital perm, but I'm talking about regular perms. And don't tell me steps on how to do waves by myself at home. I've tried them all, and I want it like everyday. I don't have enough time to do those steps everyday. Thanks in advance!
