Why is the federal government so lenient on illegal immigration?

They are leaches on society, they reap all the benefits of tax payers without contributing a dime. They commit a large portion of other crimes and felonies. Shouldn't the INS and federal government be aggressively pursuing these people? Deport them and seize all their assets. Second time offenders be executed.
