Types of permanent hair straightening?

okay a few questions about permanent hair straightening! First: what are the different types of straightening? Second: how much would each cost for hair just above my chest and very very curly, like ringlets. Third: which are the least damaging? And fourth: which last the longest? Also which do you recommend?
