I cant read this girl PLEASE HELP.?

Three months ago I started noticing this girl in the hallways (her being a soph. in hs, and myself a junior). I saw her a couple of times everyday. I later found from mutual friends her name and that she was new this year. We would look directly at each other sometimes but I would look away to avoid being creepy. We never talked and I tried adding her on facebook, to be ignored.. later when she started to ignore me in a way, I just flat out started to ignore her from then, just giving up. Then I see her starring at me whenever I see her with my peripheral vision... wth. I haven't seen her in a month now cause its summer and I am focused on my studies I have no idea whats going on .. btw she is extremely shy, has like 100 friends on facebook and only like 10 of them are guys. Barely anyone likes/ comments on her statuses and ehh.. idk what to do.
