What are all the different ways that monsters can get into my home in minecraft?

I've blocked all entrances with walls/doors/roofs etc. without any pressure plates. I've lit the house with lots of torches and a couple of jack-o-lanterns, as in there seems to be enough light. I haven't got two doors directly beside each other either (which seems to allow some monsters through at night for some reason). The only monster getting in is the green one that can explode. How can I prevent this? Oh, and if it helps, my house is made entirely of wood
