What do you think about....?

tightly coiled hair? like tight curls or alot of curls and alot of ringlets? i didnt want to narrow it down to just african american or mixed people because i know they arent the only race with hair like that (im mixed) but i just wanna know because i straighten my hair sometimes but when i wear my hair curly to school i get such negative, hurtful comments on it. and from my "so called" friends too :/ like i try to put it past me but its everytime!!! its sooo annoying so bottom line what do you think about it? do YOU think its what you would call ugly or pretty? (i know thats harsh but i really want to know)
